Railway vehicle wires and cablesare designed for internal and external connections of railway vehicles' electrical equipment including special railway vehicles: group hardwiring and connection of electrical equipment located on railway vehicles' moving parts, intercar and intersection joints with rated alternating current voltage frequency up to 400 Hz: for 660 V cables (1000 V for direct current), for 660, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 V (1000, 1500, 3000, 4500, 6000 V for direct current).

Wires are resistant to diesel fuel, rain and ozone effect, abrasion, dust, hoarfrost, high humidity, folding, twisting and pressing.
Wires do not spread combustion when laid as harness.
Wires and cables shall be resistant to low ambient temperatures up to -60°C.
Wires and cables shall be resistant to high ambient temperatures not lower than +70°C.
Wires and cables shall be resistant to ambient temperature changes from +70°C to -60°C.
Wires and cables shall be resistant tocontinuous effect of relative atmospheric humidity up to 100% at ambient temperature up to +25°C.
Wires and cables shall be resistant to solar radiation.
Wires and cables shall be mounted at temperatures not lower than -15°С. Minimal operating bend radius shall not be less than five outer diameters of the wire or cable. The operating bend radius of wires and cables should be at least six outer diameters of the wire or cable.
Factory cable length - not less than 100 m. Supplies of wires and cables of not less than 20 m at a quantity of not more than 20% of total length are allowed.
Operational life - not less than 30 years.
